Lead Veterinarian + Practice Manager

Brandy Evans, DVM & Jamie Evans

Brandy Evans (Jones), has been in the veterinary field since she was 16 years old. From the age of 4, she knew she wanted to be a vet. She has always loved all animals. She started out working at a small practice in Aviano, Italy where her father was stationed with the United States Air Force. When she graduated high school, she started college at the University of Hawaii in Manoa, on Oahu in Hawaii. She went to school a year there and then moved to Morehead, KY where she completed her undergraduate degree. She moved to Knoxville, TN and attended the University of Tennessee where she completed her doctorate in veterinary medicine in 2016. She has since spent her time working for non-profit spay and neuter clinics in WV until she bought Logan Animal Hospital in Logan, WV. Her passion is spay, neuter and preventative care so she answered her calling and established her own non-profit spay and neuter clinic in Chapmanville, WV in 2023. She met her husband, Jamie Evans, in 2023 and they got married in 2024.

Jamie is well known in the community because he was born and raised on Mud Fork in Logan. Together they run The Critter Connection in Chapmanville, WV. Brandy and Jamie both love to travel, love animals, especially the exotic ones, and love their clinic.

Lead Customer Service Representative

Lauren

My name is Lauren I am 33 years old and from Mingo Co. WV. My love for animals first started with a “science experiment” when I was 4. My grandfather and I kept frog eggs to watch the life stages and I was amazed. Growing up I always wanted to help animals and learn as much as I could about them, the good and the bad. I have now been working in the veterinary field for 8 years and really love and enjoy what I do.

Outside of work, I am a single mother to a 10 year old son, Landon. I also have 3 fur children. Sofie is an 11 year old mixed breed and Popcorn is a 5 year old Maltese. We also have our little fluffy hamster, Macaroni. Besides spending time with them, I enjoy reading, scary movies, outdoor activities, candles, porch swings and spending time with friends
